Nathan E. Langston is Chief Accounting Officer of Bluescape Resources. Bluescape Resources is an independent oil and gas and minerals company operating in the Appalachian region of the United States. The Company is focused on the development of its over 600,000 acres of minerals and lease positions.

Langston’s prior achievements include a 36 year career with Entergy Corporation (1971 to August 2007). During his career with Entergy, he held various positions in Internal Audit, Finance, Regulatory and Accounting. He retired from Entergy as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. Langston provided expert testimony on accounting and tax issues in multiple regulatory proceedings, a variety of court cases, comments and presentations to the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Security and Exchange Commission’s Chief Accountants Office.

Langston has served as chairman of the Accounting Executive Committee and Vice Chairman of the Tax Committee for the Edison Electric Institute. He has also served as a member of the Accounting Advisory Board for the Accounting Department of the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business and a member of the Accounting Advisory Board for Tulane University, Freeman School of Business.

During his career, Langston has supplied numerous written comments to the SEC and FASB. He has spoken numerous times on tax and accounting topics. He lead Entergy’s accounting and reporting during the time Entergy was recognized by Forbes as one of Americas most trustworthy companies due to its accounting transparency.

Langston is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and the Arkansas Society of CPAs (ASCPA). He has served as Vice President of the ASCPA and a member and chairman of several committees. He has been selected by the APSC as the 2008 outstanding CPA in Business and industry.
Langston graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor in Business Administration in Accounting.
